The Worland Police Department and the Washakie County Sheriff’s Office provide a Drug Take Back Box for the safe disposal of unused prescription medications. The box is located at the Washakie County Law Enforcement Center, 100 N. 10th St., Worlandand is accessible 24/7/365.

When dropping off unused prescription pills, please remove them from their original bottles, containers, or packaging at home and place the medications in a small plastic bag. If needed, loose pills may be deposited directly into the box. Do not place bottles, containers, or packaging in the Drug Take Back Box.

Please only dispose of addictive or Schedule II medications (e.g., oxycodone, hydrocodone, or Morphine) in this box. Do not place bottles, containers, or packaging in the box. All other prescriptions can be disposed of at Public Health Address 1700 Robertson Ave, Worland, WY 82401.

Specialized drug disposal bags, such as Deterra bags, are available free of charge at your local pharmacy or by contacting Washakie Prevention @ 307-347-9025.
